Paul Adefarasin chides men who wear earrings, says they are programmed by a “demonic system”

The Senior Pastor of House on the Rock, Paul Adefarasin, has taken a swipe at men who wear earrings, describing the practice as an action influenced by demons.

He made the observation during one of his recent sermons shared on social media.

Adefarasin, who appeared visibly worried that men could reach a point of trying to look like women, stated that it is not normal for any man to wear an earring.

He said, “A demonic system has programmed you to wear that which pertains to women. Why are you wearing earrings as a man? You are being programmed.”

While asserting his right to express his views on the matter, he added, “I don’t care who you are. You are not being exposed to the truth if you wear earrings as a man.”

He went on to trace the history of the practice, stating that earrings were originally a symbol of a covenant. “It is not our culture for men to wear earrings. There is something else riding on its back for every man who wears an earring.”

According to the cleric, earrings in earlier times were a symbol of slavery. “It is a blood covenant that identifies you as somebody’s slave. That was how it started. It then became an ornament for enhancing beauty. When a man wears an earring, he is trying to look like a woman.”

Adefarasin also noted that, historically, a man wearing an earring on his right ear was communicating a specific message. “And then they wore them on the left too. Now they wear them on both ears. Even pastors wear earrings.”

He then called upon one of his assistants and strictly warned that no artist or pastor who wears earrings should be allowed to mount the church’s pulpit.

”You can’t do it here,” he warned. “At The Experience, no artist who wears earrings should be allowed on the pulpit. When you go back to America, you can do it there, but not here. I am not scared of your earring; I am scared of what else you are going to say we can do just because it’s a free world.”
