As security forces intensify efforts to rescue the victims of the recent kidnapping in Oyo State, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has issued a sweeping, prophetic declaration, warning that the fallout of the incident will trigger a massive restructuring across Nigeria’s religious, security, and political landscapes.
Addressing thousands of worshippers in a subdued voice during the June 2026 edition of the monthly Holy Ghost Service in the early hours of Saturday, June 6, the cleric stated that the Oyo episode marks a definitive turning point for the nation.
According to him, the event will signal the “beginning of the end” for the multi-million naira kidnapping enterprise plaguing the country.
A ‘Dramatic’ Resolution
While stating that he does not expect kidnapping to vanish overnight.across the country, Pastor Adeboye assured the congregation that a divine revelation showed him the Oyo crisis would end soon.
“Talking about these children in captivity, I can tell that the battle will soon be over,” Adeboye declared. “It will end dramatically. I can’t tell you the details; it is the outcome of the drama that I can tell you a bit about. By the time the drama is over, Nigeria will not remain the same.”
He further warned the perpetrators that targeting the victims in this specific abduction was a fatal miscalculation. “They have made a grave mistake. I can assure you,” he added, noting that he held back other sensitive details he was not permitted to disclose.
Institutional Shakeup and the 2027 Outlook
The RCCG leader emphasized that the ripple effects of the resolution will fundamentally alter key Nigerian institutions.
The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) will experience permanent structural shifts according to him.
“These two bodies will never remain the same again,” he stated.
He said the crisis will directly impact the internal dynamics and operations of both the Nigerian Military and the Nigeria Police Force.
Moving beyond security, Adeboye said this situation and the drama is going to seriously affect the election of 2027. To win primaries does not mean to win elections,” he remarked.
Earlier in his address on the state of the nation, Pastor Adeboye reiterated the importance of institutional alignment and spiritual hierarchy, reminding the congregation that the RCCG remains firmly submissive to the oversight of the apex Christian bodies.
“Whatever PFN says, whatever CAN says, that is what RCCG says,” Adeboye noted, concluding with a lesson on spiritual accountability. “Unless you are under authority, you can’t cast out demons; otherwise, the demons will tell you, ‘Jesus I know, Adeboye I know, but who are you”
