Nathaniel Bassey makes first movie appearance in “Beautiful Feet”

Nigeria’s foremost music minister, Nathaniel Bassey, is set to make his feature-film acting debut in Beautiful Feet, a faith-based drama about the cost of commitment to a divine cause.

Directed by Chim Onyibelanma, produced by Austin Awulonu and distributed by Nile Entertainment, the film opens in cinemas nationwide on February 19, 2027.
In the film, Nathaniel Bassey takes on a supporting role in a story that explores what it means to surrender to God’s will, even when doing so demands difficult choices and personal sacrifice.

His move into feature-film acting marks a new chapter in his creative journey, bringing him into a cinematic story centred on faith, obedience and the challenges of living out one’s convictions.

Beautiful Feet is about Dr. Temi Bankole, acted by Tuke Morgan, a successful Lagos doctor who leaves behind a life of comfort to answer a spiritual calling in a remote Northern Nigerian village.

Her decision draws her into a community grappling with corruption and difficult questions of faith, testing her resolve as she confronts the personal cost of the path she has chosen.

Through Temi’s journey, the film examines the tension between comfort and conviction, and the demands that come with choosing to serve a purpose greater than oneself. Its exploration of obedience, forgiveness and surrender asks a difficult question: what happens when answering God’s call requires more than we imagined?

Speaking about the film, director Chim Onyibelanma said: “We live in a time when it is easy to speak about faith, but the real test often comes in how we live it out, particularly when doing the right thing requires sacrifice. With Beautiful Feet, we wanted to explore what it means to move beyond belief as an idea and embrace it as a responsibility.

“The story challenges us to consider what we are willing to give up for what we believe in, and whether we can remain true to those convictions when they become difficult to uphold. It is a conversation we believe is worth having now.”

The cast of the film include Tuke Morgan, Timmy Adebola, Opadele Joseph and Kate Adepegba, alongside Nathaniel Bassey. Through its ensemble cast, Beautiful Feet brings a story of faith, conviction and personal responsibility to the big screen.

Beautiful Feet opens in cinemas nationwide on February 19, 2027. The film is distributed by Nile Entertainment.
