Leke Adeboye apologises, says, “please forgive my extreme statement”

Leke Adeboye, Son of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has tendered an unreserved apology for his comments about some pastors of the church.

He had described as goats some pastors of the church who preached after his father had preached last on April 3.

The statement drew the ire of many people. Many took to the social media to condemn him for the loose statement.

But on Thursday at about 3pm on Thursday April 7 he took to his facebook page to apologise for his actions.

He wrote:

I wish to use this medium to tender an unreserved apology from the statement made from my social media handle about some of our esteemed pastors

The disciplinary measures taken by the mission is well received and this period will be used to reflect and introspect.

I wish to crave your indulgence to please forgive my extreme statement which i wish to emphasise was not intended to insult or malign.

I also wish to apologise to the entire leadership and pastors of our beloved church who might have been hurt by this statement

I remain humbly yours in God’s love and mercies

Yours in His service

Leke Adeboye
