When the Russia Ukraine war started more than 10 million Ukrainians had to leave their homes fleeing for dear lives. Of course the church is not spared from this. In the Embassy Of God Church more than 50% of our people left Ukraine to various countries all over the world.
I often hear some people mocking and jesting that this is a punishment for my criticisms of the evils in Nigerian church. “Pastor Sunday dared to touch the anointed senior ministers hence God allowed the war that destroyed his ministry.”
Yet when I look at this scattered believers across the nations of the world I see the parallel of what happened in the Acts Of The Apostles. The church in Jerusalem was likewise dispersed and thanks to that the move of God left the four walls of Jerusalem into the mission fields of the world.
As a matter of fact we the church worldwide are all beneficiaries of that tragedy in Jerusalem. Their loss became our gain.
Today despite the short time that has passed after the beginning of this war in Ukraine, it is already becoming clear that the hand of the Lord is in this scattering of his church. It is not for evil as some presume but for the good of his kingdom purposes.
This weekend we had our people come together in Belgium Luxembourg bother for a small conference with Pastors Riz of God’s Army Church.
Like in several occasions in the last few years, Embassy Of God people showed up from Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, France, Ukraine, Netherlands etc
Like in the book of Acts testimonies abound of how these scattered believers are bringing the kingdom of God to the various nations where they find themselves.
Truly our thoughts are not always God’s thoughts. While some are suggesting that this is the end of Pastor Sunday and his ministry in Ukraine. God might be silently building something that is beyond our comprehension.
I will therefore suggest to all those so called Christian leaders who are engaging themselves in “Schadenfreude” to keep their peace and not rush to conclusions before time.

Just in case you don’t know the word “Schadenfreude” It is the feeling of pleasure, delight, or satisfaction derived from witnessing someone else’s failure, pain, or bad luck. It is a German loanword (combining Schaden, meaning “damage,” and Freude, meaning “joy”) that is now widely accepted in English. It is sad to see so called men of God engaging themselves in this, but it is well…
To those speculating about the fall of Sunday Adelaja and to those making money of it producing YouTube videos. I will advice them to read their Bible. Maybe they will one day become not only readers of the Bible but doers of it too.
1 Corinthians 4:5 adjoins us not to judge before time.
“Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God.” 1 Cor.4:5
Soon the “morning” shall bring forth wisdom and all eyes shall see it.
