EFCC PROBE: Can this be Cleansing Fire of our Systems?

The drama that has been unfolding in the last two weeks relating to the alleged corruption issues in our land should not take some of us unawares. What is news and commendable is the political will on the part of the Government to investigate any of our Anti- Corruption Agencies. Some people may tag it witch-hunting.

But those who may know much better know that this new development may be part of the answer to our prayers since corruption is both systemic and endemic in almost all our institutions ( both Private and Public Sectors) in this country.

Whether some of us believe it or not, corruption may have spiritual undertones. Let’s, therefore, cast the stubborn spirit out of our land in the Name of JESUS CHRIST.

When we begin to pray such prayers that will move the mountains of deep-rooted corruption in our land, we shouldn’t be surprised if the Government begins to cleanse itself right from The Presidency through the Civil Service, the Military, Para-Military, the Police and to the other arms of Government including the Legislature ( especially our National Assembly) and the Judiciary.

In other words, this fire that has just been kindled starting with the investigation of the EFCC will snowball, spread and it will not be quenched until it has consumed all the dross and unwholesome practices in our system that may be blocking the shinning of the Stars of this Nation as a true Political and Economic giant of Africa as the International Community perceive us.

Little wonder, President Muhammed Buhari has once remarked that ” corruption will kill us if we don’t kill corruption in this country”. And so in self-defence, let us wage war against this monster call corruption instead of reading political undertones to the recent developments in our land. If we obey, observe, and see GOD’S hands in the recent developments irrespective of the instruments He has chosen to use, we shall surely eat the good of the land before it is destroyed by corruption in JESUS NAME.
