America shall rise again…a call to prayer, repentance and revival

By John Abiola

“Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.” — Ephesians 5:14

During a season of prayer, fasting, and intercession for worldwide revival in 2020, the Lord impressed a burden upon my heart concerning America and the nations.

As members of my family gathered in prayer during a Global Day of Prayer, Fasting, and Repentance for Worldwide Revival, we cried out to God for the Church, for laborers in the harvest field, and for the salvation of souls among the nations. It was during this season of seeking God that a message became deeply impressed upon my heart:

AMERICA SHALL RISE AGAIN.”

I understood this not as a political message, but as a spiritual burden and a call to prayer.

I believe God is not finished with America.

I believe the Lord is calling His Church to rise again in prayer, holiness, repentance, evangelism, discipleship, biblical truth, and obedience to Christ.

America shall rise again when hearts return to God.

America shall rise again when the Church returns to prayer and dependence upon the Holy Spirit.

America shall rise again when righteousness, truth, humility, and the fear of the Lord are restored in homes, communities, churches, and public life.

America shall rise again when believers once again place Christ at the center of their lives and faithfully proclaim the Gospel.

Looking at the years that have followed, we have witnessed spiritual hunger increasing in many places around the world. Across nations, believers have gathered for prayer, fasting, evangelism, revival meetings, and united intercession. Many have testified to conversions, spiritual awakenings, dreams, visions, and renewed passion for Christ.

These developments remind us that God is still at work among the nations.

The message “America Shall Rise Again” remains, therefore, a call to prayer, repentance, revival, and spiritual awakening.

REVIVE US AGAIN – AMERICA SHALL RISE AGAIN

An Annual Day of Fasting and Prayer for America’s Revival

A Call to Intercessors and Believers

This is not a call to assemble in one stadium or one city.
Believers can participate wherever they are:

One person in a prayer room.

A family in their home.

A church congregation.

Students in a Bible college.

Missionaries on the field.

Intercessors in the secret place.

Workers in offices and marketplaces.
Across cities and villages, across nations, continents, and cultures, Christians can unite in spirit for a day of fasting and prayer for revival in America.

On June 30, from every place, let the cry rise to God:

“Lord, revive Your Church. Lord, awaken America. Lord, send revival to the nations.”

June 30 has been set apart as an annual day of prayer and fasting for revival in America. The purpose is to encourage believers, churches, prayer groups, missionaries, ministers, and intercessors around the world to seek God for spiritual awakening, repentance, revival, and a return to biblical faith.

This call is not limited to one ministry, denomination, or location. It is an invitation for believers everywhere to unite in prayer for America and the nations.

I also believe the Lord is raising a new generation of intercessors, revival voices, evangelists, missionaries, and laborers for the harvest.

The vision is not centered on one nation alone but on God’s desire to bring many people back to Himself across the earth.

And within that burden remains the strong conviction:

AMERICA SHALL RISE AGAIN.”

America shall rise again—not by political power, human wisdom, or earthly strength, but through repentance, prayer, spiritual awakening, and a fresh work of the Holy Spirit in the Church and among the nations.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,
We thank You for Your mercy, grace, and faithfulness. We thank You because You are the God of revival and restoration.

We ask for mercy upon America and upon the nations of the world.

Awaken Your Church again, O Lord. Restore prayer, holiness, truth, love, and obedience to Your Word.

Let hearts return to You. Let churches be revived. Let families be restored. Let the Gospel advance with power. Raise laborers for the harvest and strengthen every believer who carries a burden for revival.

Let Your glory cover the earth and let many come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
