Williams Kumuyi
Founder and General Overseer of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor Williams Kumuyi has said the laws of prosperity works for everyone irrespective of faith
He made the position known in a recent message posted on the Ministers’ Arena channel monitored by Church Times.
Pastor Williams Kumuyi who hardly preaches prosperity noted in the message that prosperity laws answer to all adding also that it is like any other law of nature.
He said “there are laws that govern everything. When God created Adam and Eve, he gave them a law to dress and keep the land. He gave them the law so that the prosperity he had provided would work for them.”
Kumuyi said unbelievers understand the laws of prosperity. “The law works for everyone. For instance, if I have an object in my hand and throw it up, it will come down, why? Not because I am sanctified or holy but because of the law of gravity.
“If you know how to fly an airplane and you get to the cockpit and do the right it, and apply the laws of aviation, you will fly the plane. The plane will not answer you because you are born again or holy but because you understand the laws of aviation.
“If you acquire acres of land and you sow seeds on the land, it will grow and you will have a bountiful harvest, not because you are born again, but because you follow the law of sowing.”
He however noted that prosperity that many all clamour for are things that will end with this world. “What will not end here is the prosperity of the soul,” he said.
Kumuyi then gave insight into practical things that could be done to be prosperous, urging his listeners not to despise prosperity.
He said believers who want to prosper must work hard, have a vision and be ready to take some reasonable risk warning however that genuine wealth does not come in one day.
“You can’t get rich in one day. You start from small and grow. It is like climbing the steps of a ladder. As you put your feet on each step of the ladder, opportunities come,” he said.
Williams Kumuyi: Prosperity not for lazy people
He said wealth however doesn’t come the way of lazy and reckless people. “As you are diligent in what you are doing, don’t be in a hurry. Take one step at a time earn income, save and spend reasonably”
Pastor Williams Kumuyi who is known for his ascetic lifestyle urged the congregation to desire to be “a possessor of what God has provided.”
He implored them to also acquire necessary skills and admire the life of prosperity if they truly desire to be prosperous.
“It is also important I mention that you need to require of yourself, by speaking to yourself to work hard. Get something to do. Find work for yourself. Perspire. Put your brain to task. Don’t be afraid of getting tired.
“Inspire. Your life should also inspire others to want to succeed. Let not your hand be weary. Don’t despise the days of little beginning. Though your beginning is small, your latter end shall be great. Let your heart be fixed and trust God. Let not your heart be distracted from the Lord.”
