Rev Mrs. Yinka Badejo, widow of Rev Wilson Badejo, ex- General Overseer of Foursquare Gospel Church Nigeria has passed on.

Close family sources said Rev Mrs Yinka had been ill even before her husband’s demise. “Her husband was concerned about her health before he died. Ironically, her husband was not sick before he died. It was Mrs Badejo that had been ill.” said the source.

There is no official statement from the church on the passing of the late woman of God. A source told Church Times that the church may have to wait until the end of its ongoing annual convention before making official statement on her death.

This is not the first time in recent time that both couple in Foursquare Church would die the same year.

A former director of Missions of the Church, Rev Bisi Orebayo  died few weeks after the demise of his wife a few years ago

Rev. Mrs. Yinka Badejo’s death however came to many as a shock. Though  ill, she still took time to celebrate her 72nd birthday on October 26 with friends.

Yinka Badejo: Her Biodata

Born on October 26, 1949, at Idioro, Ibadan, in Oyo State Mrs Badejo obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Library Studies in 1975 from the University of Ibadan after which she got married to Reverend (Dr) Wilson Badejo, in the same year.

She attended Foursquare Theological Seminary, Ikorodu, Lagos, where she obtained a degree in Theology in 1998. She was Deputy President of Four Square Women International.

Rev Yinka Badejo also coordinated a prayer and counseling ministry known as Dew of Heaven.

She founded the ministry to assist women, through prayer and counseling, that are looking for the fruit of the womb as well as mature ladies, who desire to marry.

She once said in an interview that she would love to be remembered for the compassion she had for the barren, which she showed through the Dew of Heaven Ministry.

It would be recalled that she waited for many years for the fruit of the womb after her marriage.  But God later blessed her with children and grandchildren.

She said in the interview, “I want to be remembered for the impact God has used the ministry to make on the women whom He blessed with the fruits of the womb and life partners.”

Oh dear mum! Your exit is painful but I am sure you are now resting in the bossom of our Redeemer. I came to the Light through you. I had a change of mind, thoughts and ambition through just one powerful message you gave on Easter Sunday 1993 at Four Square Gospel Church,Olayiwola Street,Oko Oba Agege. I could not resist the invitation to salvation,I came out for the Altar call and was not ashamed of anyone around me. I left the path of sin, never to walk there in any more. Oh, the love that sought me! Oh the blood that washed me! Oh that grace that brought me to the fold! Wondrous grace that brought me to the fold. God will keep your children (biological and spiritual in Jesus Name). God will keep His Church in Jesus Name. Amen
