SONDAY and Not SUNDAY.
- The LORD GOD Created The Universe in 6 days and Rested on the 7th day, which HE called The SABBATH:
“Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the SABBATH DAY, and hallowed it”.
Exodus 20:9,11
“Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.
It is A SIGN BETWEEN ME AND THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL FOR EVER: for in six days THE LORD MADE HEAVEN AND EARTH, AND ON THE SEVENTH DAY HE RESTED, AND WAS REFRESHED”.
Exodus 31:13,17
- Thus, The Issue of the 7th Day had been settled between the LORD GOD and ISRAEL for ever.
- We now turn our Attention to THE DAY FOLLOWING THE SABBATH.
- John Zebedee calls the DAY after the SABBATH, “The First Day of the Week”:
“THE-FIRST-DAY-OF-THE-WEEK cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre”.
John 20:1
- John Zebedee, The Revelator, called the DAY after the SABBATH “The LORD’S DAY”:
“I was in the Spirit on THE LORD’S DAY, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet”
Revelation 1:10 - The SUN WORSHIPPERS worshipped THE SUN on the Day following the 7th Day, and called the DAY, “THE DAY OF THE SUN”.
- THE DAY OF THE SUN or The DAY FOR THE WORSHIP OF THE SUN is what the Anglo-Saxon called SUNDAY.
- According to the OXFORD ADVANCED LEARNER’S DICTIONARY:
SUNDAY: ” The Day of the Week after Saturday and before Monday, thought of as the FIRST DAY OR THE LAST DAY OF THE WEEK.
SUNDAY is coined from the Old English for “DAY OF THE SUN” (Latin = DIES SOLIS) - According to the CHAMBERS 21st CENTURY DICTIONARY:
SUNDAY: “The FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK and for most Christians THE DAY OF WORSHIP AND REST.
Anglo Saxon= Sunnandaeg
Latin = Dies Solis
Greek = Hemera Heliou = DAY OF THE SUN - The First Century Christians Worshipped THE LORD JESUS CHRIST on the Day Following the SABBATH. They called it, THE LORD’S DAY.
- The SUN WORSHIPPERS called the DAY They Worshipped SUNDAY
- Can anyone give us a Good Reason why we (who WORSHIP The LORD JESUS CHRIST, The SON of GOD on the Day following the SABBATH) should not Call THE DAY FOLLOWING THE SABBATH, or THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK, “THE DAY OF THE SON” or in short, “SONDAY”
- For the whole of 2/3rd of my working Years I have been calling The Day after the SABBATH SUNDAY
- In the Summer of 1975 on my arrival from the United States of America, I introduced the “SONDAY” idea by asking BARAKA PRESS KADUNA to print me 1,000 Postcards bearing the following inscriptions:
“GO TO CHURCH ON SONDAY:. CHRIST WILL BE THERE TO BLESS YOU”. No one paid any attention. - For the remaining 1/3rd of my Working Years, I will be referring to the First Day of the Week as SONDAY.
- I am not a Worshipper of THE SUN-GOD. I WORSHIP SON-OF-GOD.
