VACANCY: Registrar/Student Admin Services Officer at a Christian Leadership Institute

 

 

Summary of position: This is a key administrative role in a consortium-related seminary labour. Position is focused on the recruitment, admission, and enrollment of students, and to a lesser degree the provision of ongoing community and support services to the student body and the body of Christ.

General Description: A Registered Christian Leadership institute specializing in Bible Training for Pastors and Church leaders that may not be able to afford theological seminary and college desirous of broadening her horizon to train more labourers for the vineyard seek to recruit Holy Spirit filled individual who is energetic, result driving and of impeccable integrity to fill the below vacant position in our institute.

Job Position: Registrar and Student Admin Services Officer 

Reporting to: Executive Director/Academic Dean

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Prerequisite Skills: Demonstrated organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and give careful attention to detail; strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; prior supervisory experience; general familiarity with higher education; proven ability to handle confidential material accurately and with sensitivity; adept at working flexibly in a team environment; ability to work in a multi-cultural and diverse environment; proficiency with personal computers and other office technology; experience with working in databases; experience with website maintenance.

Desirable Skills: Previous experience in administrative role; knowledge of student management systems; experience with document management systems; experience in education, preferably theological education; effective communication, both written and oral; proficiency using all MS Office applications; ability to be proactive and self-directed to complete necessary tasks.

Description 

o The ideal candidate for this position will Oversee the day to day running of the Institute. o He/She will equally manage the academic functions, supervise and coordinate the admission

process, teaching and examinations and certification of students. o He/She will also ensure that the Institute generates enough revenue to sustain its activities

and also post profit for expansion and growth. o Oversee all academic record-keeping for students and auditors, including but not limited to establishment and maintenance of students’ official files/records, grades, transfers, incomplete grade & enrollment changes, transcripts and class rosters etc. o Establish and conduct online and in person registration processes at appropriate times each

year o Manage both on-site and online students and lecture schedule while ensuring compliance with

our distance education policy. o Play key role in planning for commencement including audit of students eligible for graduation

and help in planning the ceremony.

Qualifications 

o Candidate must be a disciple of Jesus Christ in word and deeds o Must possess at least a Bachelor Degree in the Arts, the Social Sciences or Education. o Must have undergone courses in Christian Theology and Divinity Studies from a recognized

Theological/Bible College o Must be from a reputable Christian denomination. o Must not be less than 40years old and married o Knowledge of Information Technology tools is also strongly required for the position. o Strength in personal interactions, patience, and sense of humor needed o Although experiences spanning other administrative and managerial duties may be considered, priority will be given to candidates with cognate experience from a similar institution.

Work Hours: Position requires some weekday evening hours to accommodate students attending evening classes.
