Uphold Biblical principles in your pursuit of prosperity, says pastor @ Foursquare’s business & health summit

An entrepreneur, Pastor John Collins has challenged Christian business owners to sustain the biblical principles of righteousness and diligence in their pursuit of prosperity.

Pastor Collins gave the Charge at the 2026 Men Summit of the Council of Foursquare Men , CFM of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria Akure ,Ondo State District Headquarters on Saturday April 11,2026.

Pastor Collins cautioned participants about wrong perception of prosperity saying those who preach prosperity without hard work and visible enterprises were not helping people and the Church.

According to him ; entrepreneurship and business growth advancement come through hard work and diligence which are biblical principles.

“While it’s good to Pray for prosperity, such prayers should be backed up with hard work , innovation and constant review of business strategy to keep pace with modern trends,” Pastor Collins said.

He advised business owners to work and pray for divine guidance, be creative and live within their income and refrain from spending on frivolities.

Any business without inbuilt quality control mechanism according to him will ultimately fail .

He suggested that those who want to start enterprises and businesses should look towards agriculture and ensure that they learn they learn basic business principles before starting.

The District Overseer Rev Olufemi Adeboyejo who spoke on the importance of Dignified business practices challenged Christian business men and women to choose integrity, dignity and humane posture while going about their enterprises and businesses.

He admonished them to always act with honour godliness and integrity noting that it’s good to lose a deal when the deal is dirty and would compromise one’s faith in God.

Also at the event a medical doctor with the FUTA Teaching Hospital Dr Favour Akintunde advised participants to take their health as a matter of priority and cultivate the habit of annual medical check ups.

Akintunde who spoke on Prostrate in Men; and how to tackle stress said all men especially those over 40 should ensure they know the condition of their prostrate in order to prevent any untoward situations.

She advised men to insert regular breaks in their work schedule, maintain a healthy sleep routine and stay away from junk food in order to retain a healthy lifestyle.

The President of the Men’s Fellowship, Deacon Olusegun Sotikare said the summit was put together to encourage men to engage in meaningful enterprises and also maintain a balanced lifestyle in their home , Church and work-life.

Chairman of the planning committee Architect Igbekele Dawodu said the summit successfully brought men together to discuss business, their health and service to God and humanity
