Popular Nollywood actress and singer, Tonto Dikeh, has shared a testimony of how God helped her forgive her ex-husband after ten years of battle and forgiveness on her part
Speaking during a recent testimony session at the Streams of Joy International, Dikeh said the turning point began when her son wrote a prayer request asking God to release his passport, not knowing that the document was in the custody of his father, Olakunle Churchill, whom she had been in a prolonged conflict with for over a decade.
She said she had always told her son that his passport was with an embassy and never revealed the truth about its location or the identity of his father due to what she described as a “10-year toxic and public battle” between herself and her ex-husband.
Two days after the prayer was made, Dikeh disclosed that her ex-husband contacted her and offered to release not only the passport but all the child’s documents in his possession.
She said this development led her to have a heartfelt conversation with her son about his father for the first time.
During the discussion, the child reportedly told her that he had already forgiven his father and encouraged her to do the same.
Dikeh recounted that the moment marked a deep spiritual transformation in her life, dissolving years of bitterness, anger and resentment.
“I found myself praying for his father. Everything just broke down in one day. Ten years of pain, bitterness and hatred dissolved in one day,” she said.
She further testified that her relationship with her ex-husband has since changed, noting that they now relate peacefully and respectfully, describing it as a miracle of inner healing and restoration.
Dikeh also encouraged parents to involve their children in prayer, stressing that God is deeply interested in the lives of children and families.
“God does not waste pain. He gave me 10 years in one day,” she said, urging believers to trust God for restoration and healing in broken relationships and families.

The actress revealed that her life is no longer a story of struggle but a thanksgiving to God. Since then she has been seen regularly on social media preaching and encouraging people to come to God.
She has also been holding prayers sessions using her social media handles. She believes if people are bold to do the wrong thing on social media, praying publicly should not be viewed as strange.
