Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu has joined thousands of people across the globe to celebrate the wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Folu Adeboye who clocked 75 today July 13.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser, Special Duties, Communications and Strategy, Mr. Dele Alake, the president noted that Pastor Mrs. Adeboye has distinguished herself as a woman who has regard for family values.
He states, “Pastor Folu Adeboye is noted for her Christian virtues, devotion to her highly-respected husband, the church, and family values”
The president also observed that Mrs. Adeboye has carved a niche for herself in her devotion to God’s work, especially her evangelical work with children, young people, and the downtrodden.
The president noted with admiration, “Many of the outreach programmes of the Redeemed Christian Church of God targeted at rehabilitating drug addicts and the poor spearheaded by Mrs. Adeboye.
“I celebrate this Godly woman, Pastor Folu Adeboye, on the occasion of her 75th birthday. We are inspired by her devotion to the work of God, family values, and the downtrodden among us. Mrs. Adeboye’s generosity of spirit and unflinching commitment to seeing that young people live value-guided life will continue to be a guide and beacon to many.

He then wished “Pastor Folu many more years in good health and more service in the vineyard.”
Foluke Adeboye (née Adeyokunnu; was born on Tuesday 13 July 1948.

Known as Mummy G.O. she is noted for her relentless work among women and children of the RCCG.
She attended Methodist Primary School-Oke Eshe- Ilesha and Methodist Girls School- Agurodo-Ilesha before obtaining a grade II teacher’s certificate from United Missionary College, Ibadan, and a diploma in education (science and mathematics) at the College of Education, University of Lagos.
On 17 July 2022, she got a doctorate degree in Education from Benson Idahosa University, Benin, Edo State.
