THE RISING PROFILE OF ANGIE

No doubt, the rapidly advancing gospel music ministry has produced many new stars at present. However, one of the trendsetting new star is ANGIE. She has honourably made great impact with her power packed debut album entitled EKI BABA. The highly gifted singer who is now the toast of music lovers for her infectious contemporary gospel hip-hop beat is set to conquer the music industry with her waves making album.  The eight tracks album has very inspiring life transforming message from the youthful artiste.

 

“Eki Baba” which is subtitled “Hail the most high” generally denotes acknowledging the almighty God and tells a few things about her life in the world and experience, until she had a personal encounter with God.

“Alagbawi” is a high praise medley talks about reaching out to everyone to praise, sing and dance to God.

“Dem go kpeme” is an afro pop dance song composed to reach out to everyone, regardless of their religions, letting people know that gospel music is not restricted to a particular beat or pattern of singing. And also drawing close people that feel they can’t find this kind of good music in gospel.

“Ekira” is a very deep song with deep lyric, inspiration from above which signifies the beautiful names of God and acknowledging how wonderful He is.

“Agbara” is a song composed to bring down the presence of the Lord, to make us accept the fact that no one is holy but ready to repent.

“Super Power” is a very powerful song that has strong vocal delivery which talks about how powerful God is and that there is no other power that supersedes his

“You Reign” is a worship song that talks about the creation of God, his awesomeness and love towards us.

“Blessing” is a highlife kind of gospel that has a feel of eastern music in it declares that no one can give legitimate blessings except God, and when you have God you have everything.

 

    

Olaide Jimoh popularly known as “ANGIE” was born March 26, 1991, hails from Kwara State and was born and brought up in Lagos.

 

She is from a family of seven and the last child. She grew up in a missionary home, Christ Apostolic Church (CAC). Her mum happens to be a clergy woman.

 

She did her primary studies St Michaels Nursery & Primary School, secondary studies at Eko Immaculate College and then proceeded to study computer science at Lagos state polytechnic.

 

She started singing at a tender age of 3 in church, in the children’s choir. Her mum has been a very huge support in her musical career.

 

ANGIE has been involved in music studio activities from radio jingles, movies sound tracks, and backing up singing for super stars.

 

She took her music career professionally 5years ago, before she found her way to salvation 2years ago.

 

She dropped her debut single “Eki Baba” 2016 and then released another single “Super Power” 2017 which preceded her debut album titled “Eki Baba” that took a massive turn out over the radio, television, social media and in the street.
