Reopening of churches in Lagos: Guidelines are abomination of desolation-Okotie

Founder of Household of God Church, Rev Chris Okotie has described the guidelines for the reopening of churches in Lagos as “abomination of desolation” vowing that the doors of his church will remain closed until “these profanation and secularization have been pulverized by the Emperor of heaven’.

The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu had issued guidelines for the reopening of worship centers in Lagos on Wednesday. The guidelines were designed for forestall the spread of covid-19

The guidelines restricted worship centres to a maximum of 500 people while exempting people that are older than 65 and young people below the age of 15

But in a statement released in Lagos on Thursday, Okotie described the guidelines as ‘abomination of desolation’.

He then vowed, “Our doors will remain closed until these profanation and secularization have been pulverized by the Emperor of heaven’.

Rev Okotie had last Monday in a widely published statement, lashed out at the Christian Association of Nigeria for proposing  similar guidelines. He said Government cannot reorder worship in the house of God.

Reopening of churches:

Below is the full statement sent to Householders on Thursday June 4

“Beloved, yesterday, the abomination of desolation took a giant step towards standing in the holy place. Fulfillment of bible prophecy is being accelerated by the forces of Janes and Jambres. To reorder temple worship is to deny God the divine prerogative of congregational adoration and the holy genuflects of the saints in light. Let no man’s heart be troubled by the vengeance of satanic antagonism.  Dagon the god of the philistines fell in obeisance before the Ark of God. Corona Virus, the god of Secular Humanism will be decapitated in like manner.  Our doors will remain closed until these profanation and secularization have been pulverized by the Emperor of heaven. Unto him shall the gathering of the people be. To thy tents O Israel” ……., Rev Chris Okotie.
