Reach4Christ has announced plans for an 83-day marathon prayer event ahead and beyond the 83rd birthday of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
Pastor Adeboye will turn 83 on March 2, 2025. The marathon prayer is expected to start on January 8 and end on March 31.
The Vice Chairman of the Reach For Christ Team, Pastor Emmanuel Emefienim said on Friday, December 14 at the ongoing Holy Ghost Congress that the birthday of the RCCG general overseer meant a lot to the group.
He said the marathon prayer would include a one-hour intercession every day for 83 days across different churches and groups. “It will also include a seven-hour intercessory prayer once a week for 83 days. Emefienim said there will be prayer clusters will be formed across the country to enhance the programme
Apart from the prayer programme, the 83 days will include aggressive soul-winning. This will lead to the establishment of 83 light-up churches to mark the birthday celebration. The group is expected to take the campaign to campuses and major cities across Nigeria.
Over the years the group has organised similar events to celebrate the RCCG general overseer. Emefiene said the round of celebration will also include the empowerment of young people across campuses
