A clarion call for daily confessional Intercession for God’s intervention and move on Nigeria for each day for the planned #EndBadGovernance and hunger# protest slated from August 1st – 10th ,2024.
2 Chronicles 7:13-14
Good News Translation
13 Whenever I hold back the rain or send locusts to eat up the crops or send an epidemic on my people, 14 if they pray to me and repent and turn away from the evil they have been doing, then I will hear them in heaven, forgive their sins, and make their land prosperous again.
This verse brings us to understand that some confusing, frustrating and depressing situation has most times been actuated by the presence of sin. But in his infinite mercy God has always given the solution to coming out from that problem.
So in this verse, He gives Solomon and we Nigerians the understanding that when there is unfruitfulness in the land, where there is a breakout of human locusts eating up the wealth of the land, activating the hunger epidemic and their likes, there is a need to seek God’s face in repentance to reacess God blessings upon that land again.
The solution to that problem is a heart of repentance and humility which would eventually cause God to make the land prosperous again.
This is a short confessional prayer on behalf of Nigerians to God to seek God’s mercy in our depressing situation of melancholy and confusion.
Like John said “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us”.1John 1:8.

Father, we come boldly to the throne of your Grace to seek for mercy on behalf of our country, Nigeria. Your word in 2 Chronicles 7: 13-14 has made us understand that most of our problems were likely to have been actuated by the presence of sin, and so we humble ourselves to seek Mercy for the forgiveness of the sin of our country Nigeria.
We ask that you forgive us of all our transgressions and restore health unto us in the name of Jesus Christ. We ask that you purge our country Nigeria through which you have chosen to proliferate light to other darkened countries in the name of Jesus Christ.
We ask that you forgive us our many sins, and that you release blessings in all ramifications of life, the blessings that would meet the spiritual needs of Nigerians, the blessings that would meet the physical needs of Nigerians after the Nationwide protest, we ask that you dispense it upon us in the name of Jesus Christ.
We ask that you take charge of the protest, we ask for your protective shield upon the lives that would be coming out to protest, that no innocent lives would lost in the name of Jesus Christ.
There would be no lost of properties. In accordance with your words, you said if we should acknowledge our sins, you would hear and heal our land, we are here acknowledging our sins, we ask that you purge us and release life healing breath upon our country Nigeria in the name of Jesus Christ.
Let the light of the Cross shine in our country Nigeria in the name of Jesus Christ. The blessings that comes after the action of repentance, let it manifest in our country Nigeria in the name of Jesus Christ.
Let tranquility be restored to Nigeria 36 States and FCT Abuja with attendant economic stability for every Nigerian citizens.
Let the peace of God reign in our land Nigeria in the name of Jesus Christ. Let the locusts, and pestilence that you have allowed to bring us to our knees in humility unto repentance, let them be uprooted from our land Nigeria in the name of Jesus Christ.
Let the rain of health rain upon our land Nigeria in the name of Jesus Christ. There shall be no war in our land Nigeria in the name of Jesus Christ. We thank you Jesus for listening to our heartfelt prayer on behalf of Nigerians and the nation of Nigeria, in Jesus name we pray. Lord Jesus save our souls and our nation Nigeria in the mighty name of Jesus . Amen.
“The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” (James 5 26). Prayer changes things. Praying together moved God beyond our expectations.
Please I beg of you -the fate of our youths, Nigeria, and future generations, pray this confessional prayer every day of the Nationwide protest slated from August 1st-10th,2024.
May God bless all Citizens of our nation Nigeria in and outside the country with REVIVAL BLESSINGS in Jesus’ name. Amen! Thank you.
