Pastor Kumuyi Debunks Rumours of his relocation to the UK.

The General Superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor Williams Kumuyi has clarified news making the round that he had relocated to the United Kingdom urging and praying that his church members will not believe a lie.

He clarified, in a message posted on the Facebook page of Cross River State Deeper Life monitored by Church Times

Kumuyi told the congregation that they must have read that he relocated to the UK while simultaneously asking them, “Did I relocate?”  He went on to explain, “I did not relocate anywhere. But because I went for crusade and conference and the conference and crusade is not being transmitted here, we do it over there.

“We have a time difference. Some countries I go to like the one I went to in May have about 7 hours of time difference. When it is 7 am here it will be 2 am in that other country. There is no way I could transmit that here because of the time difference.”

He said further that he visited so many countries in the United Arab Emirates preaching the gospel. “It was a long trip and after that long trip, I jumped into the plane and went here and there. After those trips, I needed a few days to rest so that I would not come back weary, tired, and could not preach again. So I waited. And because I spent that time, they told you that I have relocated. ”

Kumuyi wondered why his church members would even read the purported story about his relocation recalling how someone wrote a letter to him and addressed the letter to the UK branch of the church because he said “he heard that I have relocated”

The fellow according to Kumuyi wrote, “I am writing this to you. I need prayers. I need counseling. But I heard you are now based in London.”

He then charged the congregation and told them, “You will not believe a lie. In our church, people creeping in are careless and corrupt. They deliberately want to poison your mind against your pastor. Nobody will do that to you. Somebody hears that GS of Deeper Life has relocated to England, and you read that you don’t understand that these are church scatterers They want to scatter us and say, what are you still doing there, your pastor has relocated to England. They tell other people and the other people tell other people. I did not relocate anywhere”?

GCK and Pastor Kumuyi

Pastor Kumuyi for a couple of years now has been involved in what the Church termed the Global Crusade with Kumuyi. The crusade has been held in different parts of the world with Pastor Kumuyi preaching. The crusades are usually filled with people and to some extent have been largely non-denominational.

A typical GCK crusade features a multilingual praise worship session. Guest music ministers from various cultural backgrounds enrich the GCK experience with a rich blend of worship styles and expressions.

For some of the past events, worship leaders like Paul Baloche, Jonathan White, Don Moen, and Bob Fitts, as well as Nigerian gospel sensations like Dunsin Oyekan and Nathaniel Bassey contribute to the dynamic worship experience.

The beauty of the GCK experience is that it relives the younger years of Pastor Kumuyi when he started about 50 years ago. He preaches with fervour and the zeal of a man with a passion for the loss. His messages are simple and address the question of salvation and eternity.

During the Crusades, many lives come to know Jesus. A lot of people also experience the healing touch of God. The internet has also been deployed effectively to preach the gospel by the Church.

It is then safe to infer that the GCK has made Pastor Kumuyi a global citizen.  He cannot be pinned to a particular geographical location. Today he is in the UK and another day he is in the US.
