The Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo has intensified the weekly the distribution of food items worth millions of Naira, to homes of the less privileged in Ogun State, as part of relief measures, to ameliorate the people’s hardship, occasioned by the lockdown in the state.
Prof. Sheriff F. Folarin, Chairman, Media/Editorial Board, LFCWW in a statement said Bishop Oyedepo has continued with the weekly distribution because of his commitment to stamp out hunger in the land while the lockdown last with special attention to Ogun communities.
He said the distribution, which commenced three weeks ago, will continue and reach all the local governments and communities in the state.
The food items include thousands of bags of rice, beans, garri and other staples that are common in Nigeria.
The initiative is however targeted primarily at the vulnerable and needy in the state, including members of the Winners’ Family.
The distribution is systematically and fairly done, with a dedicated team, which maps communities and identifies homes of the poor; while the Winners Satellite Fellowship cell system and network is used to engender a fair distribution among members of the church.
Folarin iinformed that a sum of twenty five million Naira (N25) from the personal account of Bishop Oyedepo has been set aside to carry out the project.
These weekly relief packages according to him ‘complement the continuous and phased support to the governments of Ogun, Lagos and Abuja in the fight against the coronavirus that is spiraling in Nigeria and the world..’
It would be recalled, the Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners’ Chapel International) donated medical equipment worth millions of Naira to the governments of Ogun, Lagos and Federal Capital Territory, Abuja three weeks ago
