Be God’s extended hand to the hurting, Lagos PFN Chair tells Christians

Okwuonu

The Chairman of the Lagos Chapter of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Apostle Enyinnaya Okwuonu has called on believers to live worthy of Jesus’ name while also making themselves God’s extended hand of love to the hurting in the society.

Okwuonu gave the admonition in an Easter message sent to Church Times on Saturday.

While congratulating all believers for witnessing another Easter season, he said, “I urge all believers in Jesus Christ to live worthy of His name, brighten the corner where you are, let the world see Christ in you, take your faith and calling more seriously, don’t fear their fear”

Quoting Matthew 25: 31-46, he urged Christians to “help the helpless and be the voice to the voiceless. Speak up and take a proactive stance against all vices and all that is vile, be the light  this generation desperately needs at this time.”

Okwuonu described Easter as the most significant event in the Christian life and calendar. “It marks the climax for the reason of the birth of Jesus Christ, His life and ministry. It gives credence and impetus to the Christian faith.

“For if our Christ had not risen from the dead, then our Faith and Hope is vain and exercise in futility but glory to God Jesus Christ rose up from the dead bodily and is seated at the right hand of our Father God in Heaven.”

According to him, God demonstrated a full package LOVE to all of humanity through His son Jesus who could not be held down by death

Apostle Okwuonu prayed that every setback and gang ups against God’s people shall become the “SET UP” for their undeniable come back into reckoning.

He prayed also that, “From this season of Easter, let your life, like seeds planted in a Garden, begin to yield undeniable proofs and harvests henceforth, you will break and disappoint satanic manipulations and become victorious on all sides in Jesus mighty name.”
