Okonkwo prays profusely for Oyedepo @ 70th birthday event

Founder of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission Bishop Mike Okonkwo was among hundreds of top church leaders that graced the 70th birthday celebration of Bishop David Oyedepo.

Bishop Oyedepo is the founder of Living Faith Church also known as Winners Chapel. He clocked 70 on September 27. The celebration however started about a week to the date.

At the event on Friday, Bishop Okonkwo.was given a rare opportunity to give his tribute but it turned out to be a time for the bishop to pray profusely for the celebrant..

Beaming with smile and full of gratitude to God, Okonkwo began by telling Bishop Oyedepo, ‘i have one song for you specially..

He then started singing the Yoruba song, ijinle ninu jingle, eseun o. Ijinle ninu ijingle eseun o…(A Thanksgiving to the mysterious one).

Okonkwo.went on to say, ‘ I am particularly excited to be part of this auspicious occasion’

Referring to Bishop Oyedepo, he said, :To you I say a big congratulations. You have lived a life of resilience, a life of sacrifice, a life of commitment . You have lived a life that is dogged, audacious bold and daring, a life that is a pathfinder, that charts courses. This is just the beginning:’

He then began to pray saying, ‘i wish you more years in the land of the living. Your life will not be cut short. Your voice will not be silenced. Your children will not be vagabonds. They are the seeds of the righteous.

“They shall be mighty upon the earth. They shall eat of the riches of the gentiles. It shall be said concerning them that they are the offsprings the Lord has blessed. I speak the blessings of the heavens, the earth and deep over your life:
