Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu  has described the death of Pastor of Reconciliation House, Pastor Joshua Odeyemi as a great loss to Ondo State.

He also described Pastor Odeyemi who died on February 16 on his knees while praying as a great soldier of Christ who lived a sacrificial life.

The governor who was present at the funeral service which held at Trans Camp, Iju, Ondo State said he had known Pastor Odeyemi long before he became governor of the state.

He said, “When I became the governor our relationship continued. I have known him as one soldier of Christ whom I have great respect for. He was not just a pastor to us, but he was family member.”

Akeredolu said since he became governor Odeyemi had been coming to pray with his family every third Friday of the month. The last time he came to pray with us was the third Friday of January. Of all the times he came to pray, I have only attended three times and that has not stopped him from coming. We are truly going to miss him.”

He said indeed, “Pastor Odeyemi lived a good life. He knew the prince of peace. So he is sure resting in peace. If we chose not to know the prince of peace there is no way we can have peace. The peace of God is already with Odeyemi”

Describing Odeyemi’s wife as a strong woman, Akeredolu told her, “You are a man now. I thank God for His grace upon your life. God will remain with you and guide you all through. The death of Pastor Odeyemi is no doubt a great loss to us in Ondo State.”
