Netizens tackle Korede Komaiya over N1.5billion Rolls-Royce gift to Bishop Oyedepo

The Presiding Pastor of The Master’s Place International Church in Warri, Delta State, Korede Komaiya has come under heavy criticisms by netizens over his claim to being part of those who donated a Rolls-Royce gift to Bishop David Oyedepo and how his annual income became his daily income.

Komaiya in a message posted by Church Gist on the social media said he was one of the four people who contributed money to buy the Rolls Royce gift to Bishop Oydepo on his 70th birthday last year.

He said the vehicle cost the four of them N1.5 billion and that he contributed N250 million which he said was the least of all the contributions..

Komaiya however said one month after the humongous gift to Oyedepo, his annual income became his daily income adding that there is no week he does not get a property gift..

He said Oyedepo had prayed passionately for the four of them after he asked them to kneel down, declaring that the blessings they never expected would come their way.

Komaiya’s submission however generated heated reactions from netizens who followed the message online.

A respondent Stephens Victor Seko, said, ‘Oga korede I have some questions for you. 1. What is your source of income that made you move from M to B within a month. 2. There is contradiction between what you said and what Biodun Fatoyinbo said about this gift. He said he was not even there when the gift was presented. But you said Bishop said the four of you should kneel down and prayed for you. Oga who is lying here?’

Another commentator, Aribo Wole opined, ‘Let us not be deceived by anyone. If you give poor people the 250 million to build homes, feed them. God will bless you just as he will bless you when you give Bishop Oyedepo. You should not feel giving the bishop is more blessing than anyone.’

John Kenny Adekeke in his reaction stated, ‘Is that the kind of message Christ asked us to be preaching till He comes back? ‘…I don’t think a week will pass that I don’t get property” Where can this be found in the Bible?

“The message of Christ is to bring souls into His kingdom and whatever He blesses us with shouldn’t be the message we should be propagating on the pulpit. Mammon-like messages is what you have just preached. Amend your future messages. God bless you.’

For Adeoye Adewale however, he believes Komaiya is gloating. He stated, ‘If I were Oyedepo, I would return the rolls Royce immediately. This is what Yorubas call Iregun. Stupid pastors everywhere.’

Oluwole.Oyedele stated.’ You have church members that are in dire need of money to set-up themselves. You have members that are in dire need of money for health issues
You even have church members that are in dire need of money to feed. We claim and tap into every nonsense without critical thinking.’

Apostle Anselm Madubuko Founder of Revival Assembly however joined the fray lambasting the critics.. He said, ‘He simply told you guys what worked for him so why the insults ?? Take it or leave it and move on!!! Bad hearts everywhere’

Joyful Ugbo sarcastic. She said, ‘Poverty people go gather here now..de yarn say this money dem for use am for de poor, meanwhile they don’t have an idea of the impact of this great men on the poor..Well if they said it to Jesus when Mary anointed his feet with an expensive perfume, poor minded Anti Christ pipu everywhere.’

A number of respondents also believed Komaiya was simply sharing his experience and feel he should should not be lambasted..
