NCPC boss, Yakubu Pam in Israel, calls for faith in the pilgrimage process

The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC, Rev. Dr. Yakubu Pam has pleaded with pilgrimage managers to have faith in the pilgrimage process.

He made the charge during a prayer session at Rahama Hotel, Jerusalem on  30th January 2022.

Pam’s visit to Israel was in readiness for the 2021 pilgrimage exercise to Israel and the Kingdom

of Jordan which will hold in the first quarter of the year.

He said “an agreement is a process. And it goes with faith because there are believers who work by feelings and the circumstances around them. As Christians, we must grow above our feelings and above the negativity we see. Always think Positive, we will get it right when we think positive and with faith”.

The NCPC boss said faith like that of Abraham is necessary for a successful pilgrimage exercise. “we may not know how the pilgrimage will look like, but as people of faith, we should believe, if our foundation is laid by God, then this pilgrimage will turn to be a great one come the first quarter of the year” he said.

Pam noted that working in agreement may not be easy, and as such he urged the pilgrimage managers to always listen to one another and welcome new ideas. He also asked them to try to understand each other, and gradually things will fall in place.

He stressed that the greatest agreement they have now is, an excellent pilgrimage exercise. That agreement according to him should come with commitment.

While thanking God for the safe journey recorded so far, he called for more daily prayers for the success of the pilgrimage.

Observe covid protocols

He further informed that every person should make a conscious effort to observe all the COVID -19 protocols to avoid getting infected. Pam said he would not want to go back to Nigeria living anyone behind in Israel. He urged them to avoid crowded areas during their stay Israel.

He also gave the full itinerary for the State of Readiness visit for everyone to be informed on the programme of events.

The Chairman of Tabar Tours, Mr. Wisam Tabar welcomed visitors and he expressed joy for their visit. He noted that the pandemic had caused a great setback for Christian pilgrimage.

He said, “Pilgrimage for us is much more than business, it’s a mission”.

Tabar thanked the Executive Secretary for his efforts to revive the pilgrimage to Israel. He also appreciated him for the prayer he made for the Country of Israel at Mount Nebo during the Pilgrimage in Jordan.
