Lagos cleric calls for national revival, urges prayer for Tinubu, FCT minister

By Prince Wiladek

Founder and Senior Pastor of Warrior for Christ Mission under the Christ Apostolic Church, Prophet Solomon Ajao, has called on Nigerians to pray fervently for the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, over what he described as a critical vision.

Speaking with Church Times during a special service at the church’s headquarters in Fagba, Iju Station, Lagos, Ajao revealed that he had seen Wike in a vision, where the minister fell critically ill leading to something tragic

“I want to appeal to Nigerians who love our leaders and the country to pray for the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, over sudden death. What I saw in my vision about him was critical. I saw him fall sick for a brief period and then answered the call. I like him for his actions and courage. I know some people are attacking him for his decisions, but that counts for little compared to those who appreciate what he has done and continues to do. We need leaders like him who are fearless and decisive. I urge all Nigerians to pray for his long life and good health,” he said.

Calling for spiritual intervention in Nigeria’s challenges, Ajao emphasized the need for divine intervention in Nigeria’s affairs, stressing that the country requires strong spiritual and political figures like Apostle Ayo Babalola and the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo to restore its fortunes.

“As things stand in Nigeria, we need people like Apostle Ayo Babalola and Chief Obafemi Awolowo to fix the country. Christian leaders must take proactive steps by declaring fasting and prayer to bring the nation back on track. We can’t just fold our hands and watch. Instead of focusing solely on criticism and condemnation, we must take action in the way we know best—through prayer,” he stated.

Ajao further pointed out that while secessionists and traditionalists are actively promoting their beliefs, Christian leaders must also step up their spiritual contributions.

“The secessionists are pushing their ideology, and the traditionalists are making their impact felt. Christian leaders must wake up from their slumber and do the same,” he added.

Reacting to discussions on introducing Shari’a law in the Southwest, Ajao strongly opposed the idea, describing it as impractical due to the region’s cultural and religious diversity.

“In one family in Yorubaland, we have Christians, Muslims, and traditionalists. How would you expect Shari’a to be operational? Those who proposed the idea should discard it immediately. Nigeria’s diverse languages and cultures will not allow it to thrive.

“We know Shari’a is in the constitution, and some states in the North have implemented it successfully because of their religious and cultural similarities. However, it won’t work here in the Southwest. In fact, since it has not been adopted nationwide, it would be best if it were removed from the constitution entirely,” he said.

Ajao also shared his evolving views on President Bola Tinubu’s administration, admitting that while he was initially indifferent, he has been impressed by the president’s economic policies and tax reforms.

“I didn’t have much interest in Tinubu or his governance before, but with his tax reforms and economic policies, I have begun to admire his leadership. If you look closely, you’ll notice that no past president has taken some of the steps he has taken. We are suffering too much in the Southwest, while many who are not contributing to the system are reaping its benefits.

“There are certain bold moves he has made that no past president attempted. Simply put, if he desires a second term, I will campaign for him and be the first to vote for him. His current policies impress me, and we can see that killings have at least reduced,” he remarked.

The cleric urged Nigerians to support the president and his family in prayers, emphasizing that divine guidance is necessary for good governance.

“I also call on Nigerians to pray for him. Let the Holy Spirit lead him aright. We need to support him and his family with prayers. I also charge church leaders to intercede for political leaders,” he urged.
