How pastor Kunle Ajayi became my minstrel- Adeboye
Perhaps for the first time, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye shared the testimony of how Pastor Kunle Ajayi became his minstrel several years ago.
Adeboye shared the testimony while preaching during the May edition of the Holy Ghost night May 1.
He said Pastor Kunle Ajayi was a character people thought would amount to nobody. ‘The parents had given up on him and he was brought to stay with us. He was so rascally that nobody thought he would amount to something in life.’
He said a solder man in the church was later asked to handle him while he learnt to play musical instrument with him.
‘it was while he was staying with the soldier that mummy (Adeboye’s wife) and I traveled to Kenya. While in Kenya mummy decided to buy a flute for him and brought it to him to learn how to play.’
With time Adeboye said the life of Ajayi had become transformed and he had become so dexterous in the playing of the flute. He soon became so adept in handling the saxophone that he always went to ministrations with him.
Adeboye recalled one of the outings he had abroad. He allowed Ajayi to minister for five minutes. ‘the ministration was so powerful that the organisers said to me they now understood why I always take him around the world wherever I go to minister.’
The RCCG Overseer then said there is nobody that God can’t turn around. He said when the light of God shows up in the life of a man, the man will experience a comprehensive turn around and the light will expose the beauty of the man.
Earlier in his message Adeboye had dwelled extensively on the topic Let there be Light Part 5.
He said the light of God is pure and it could bring pure healing, new creation, pure wealth, pure joy and pure peace.
He said further that the light of God could also lead to pure success adding that God wants his children to excel in all they lay their hands on.
Adeboye also shared the testimony of how he went on a cruise and a 10th grade storm ranked the ship he was in.
He said he was initially troubled but became calm when the Lord reminded him that Jesus slept in a storm.
The ship eventually berthed with the whole passengers unhurt.
