The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has asked those who accuse the church of doing little or nothing to impact society to make private investigations on what the church is doing rather than jump to hasty conclusions.
Pastor Idowu Iluyomade, Intercontinental Overseer, Christian Social Responsibility of RCCG gave the challenge in an exclusive chat with CHURCH TIMES NIGERIA.
Replying to the allegation that the church saps members of their finance and do nothing to impact society, he said it was ignorance that makes people have such mindset.
He expressed confidence that the church operates a transparent system and gives no room for lack of accountability.
“I like to tell them that our work shows, we are accountable, the work we do is measurable. To those naysayers, they should just look around and see our interventions.

“130 million Nigerians impacted in three years. We are in 197 nations of the world, in Nigeria alone we have 43,000 centres that we do Christian Social Responsibility (CSR). We have daily feeding centres, they can go and check these claims. I pray that after they see, they will make an informed decision to see that we are real,” Iluyomade said.

Many hospitals, rehab centres and public utilities have been affected by the church’s gesture. One of the striking interventions of the church is in the area of feeding the poor. So far, the church has about 22 centres in Lagos where people go to eat free food on a daily basis.
On Thursday, August 6, Iluyomade said His Love Foundation (HLF), the charity arm of RCCG will make an official donation of kidney dialysis centre to Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching hospital in Shagamu, Ogun State.
