Senior Pastor and founder of United Kingdom-based Kingsway International Christian Centre, Mathew Ashimolowo has decried the increasing poverty among black people stating that true freedom is financial freedom.
Ashimolowo bemoaned the poverty situation among blacks during a promo for an online money master class slated for November 7.
He said blacks are far behind in the rating among rich people across the globe adding that only financial education can bring liberation from poverty.
He said, “without true understanding, applied knowledge and recollection of the history of what has brought you to this point in your finances, you will not be able to become wealthy
“You cannot gain economic freedom without re-educating your mind. If you have the right education, the right attitude, the right information, the right mindset; you can become the best”
He invited interested individuals to what he called “a ground-breaking teaching, thought-provoking, practical and precise” session on SATURDAY 7th of NOVEMBER 9 AM at the Money Masterclass LIVE members session”
He urged his listeners to increase their financial literacy and come learn up to “90 Major differences between wealthy people and poor people”
He then declared that he would be sharing with his listeners, “true freedom is financial freedom”. Quoting W.B Duboi, Ashimolowo said to “be a poor man is hard. But to be a poor race in the land of dollars is a very bottom of hardship.”
He noted that wealthy black people in the US despite the sophistication in that country are still not more than 1 percent of the country’s population adding that “No amount of protest can change things if you don’t have money.”
He said, during apartheid in South Africa, 4 percent of the country’s population, controlled 87 percent of the wealth of the country. Now that there is no apartheid the 4 percent are controlling 90 percent of the country’s wealth.
The rich-list published every May in the Times of London according to him has just four blacks “There are 2 million black people in the UK only 4 of them make the rich list. This shows you that a system does not change the economic strangulation of the people there.”
He wondered at the second slavery of the blacks noting that by 2020 people are shipping themselves to the developed countries to do all kinds of demeaning jobs adding however that highly skilled people who live in the UK are barely surviving.
Referring to Belgium which has a limited population, he said the country controls the Democratic Republic of Congo which has a population of 140 million people. “DRC has the largest deposit of gold and uranium, yet the people there can’t take advantage of it.”
He said “Black lives matter” “protest cannot make any meaning until black people re-educate themselves. “You can gain economic freedom by re-educating your mind. In any corner of the world with the right attitude, your well-being can change. True financial freedom does not come because of the abrogation of the system. You need more than relocation to find your allocation. You need a re-education.” He said.
