Church Times holds anniversary seminar, honours Kolade, Gary Maxey, others

Church Times Nigeria has concluded plans to hold its fifth anniversary alongside a seminar and award for deserving Christians in Nigeria on Monday November 26 at Excellence Hotel, Ogba by 4 pm.
In a statement, Mr. Gbenga Osinaike, publisher of the church based journal said the anniversary celebration was the organisation’s own way of thanking God for making it survive the first five years of its existence.
Osinaike said, “We basically want to thank God. We are not where we should be but we are certainly not where we were at the beginning. So we want to thank God and appreciate Him for keeping us through the troubled waters of publishing in the last five years. We also want to thanks all our advertisers and patrons in the last five years. We also want to use the opportunity to celebrate some Christians inNigeria who have been of immense value to the Body of Christ”
The theme of the anniversary according to him is: Church in Times Like this. The guest speaker for the occasion is Prof. Duro Adegboye a missionary evangelist and a former dean of the Faculty of Science, Ahmadu Bello University.
He said further in the statement that some Christians including Nigeria’s former ambassador to the United Kingdom, Dr. Christopher Kolade will be given the Church Times Christian Service Award.
Others to be given awards are; Dr. Gary Maxey founder of West Africa Theological Seminary, Dr. Akin Bola John., Founder, Church Growth International Ministries, Mr. Femi Adesina, Deputy Managing Director, Sun Newspapers, Mrs. Felicia Martins, Founder, Society for the Safety of the Insane and the Destitute and Grace So Amazing Foundation publishers of Word for Today.
The statement reads further, “We will also use the anniversary to appreciate all our numerous sponsors and advertisers including Ayoola Foods Nigeria Limited, Zenith Bank Plc, Laughter Foundation and a host of others for standing by us in the last five years”
