CCTV on RCCG camp exposes tithe and offering thief, others

A close circuit television  on the Redemption Camp of the Redeemed Christian Church of God has exposed a man who stole envelopes containing money inside the tithe and offering box in the old auditorium of the camp.

It has also exposed several other people doing odious things on the camp.

This was disclosed by the General Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye during the January 2020 Holy Ghost service of the church at the 3 by 3 kilometer auditorium of the church.

Adeboye who seized the opportunity of the holy ghost service to announce to the congregation that the Redemption Camp now has a CCTV camera said since the camera was inaugurated it has exposed many terrible things going on in the camp.

He said he was shown a clip on the CCTV of a man who went to take envelopes in the tithe and offering box in the old auditorium of the camp.

“The man got to the auditorium, checked right and left and found out that nobody was around. Unknown to him the CCTV camera was recording what he was doing. He took the envelopes in the box and stuffed them in his pocket. By the time he was about escaping with the envelopes, a motorbike from the CCTV centre caught up with him and he was apprehended.

“Initially he wanted to resist arrest because he claimed to have done nothing. But by the time they searched his pockets they discovered several envelops including tithe, first fruit and offering envelops with money in his pocket. He could not argue again” said Adeboye.

The RCCG G.O said he was shown another recording where a young man broke into a car on the camp and began to take things from the car. Before he could escape with what he stole from the car a bike man from the CCTV centre caught up with him.

He then told the congregation he was mandated to tell the congregation that there is a CCTV camera on the Redemption Camp that records things done in every nook and cranny of the camp.

“You all know that there are angels watching over us on camp. But I have been asked to tell you that there is a CCTV camera on the camp which records all that is going on in the camp. It is part of the requirement of the law that we announce the presence of such equipment. So you can’t afford to misbehave on camp. Every car that comes into the camp is being recorded and all activities even in the dark as long as they are being done on the camp is being recorded” He said.

Adeboye said there were several other discoveries in the camp through the CCTV stating that there is “light” on the camp drawing from the theme of the January Holy Ghost service.

CCTV and the light connection

Preaching from Genesis chapter 1v1-5, he told his listeners that there is need for the light of God in individual lives. According to him many people are not making progress because some forces are covering their light.

He gave the example of a man who had a Phd in the 80s who could not get a job. But all that changed as soon as he gave his life to Jesus. “The man got a job, got married and had children within a short while. All the things he could not get before he knew Jesus came handy.”

He urged the congregation to pray that the light of God will shine on their lives and on their blind spots so they could make progress in life.

He told the congregation that the whole decade is at stake for them and not only year 2020 urging them to call on God to shine for them, in them, through them and on whatever it is that have been blocking their lives from shining.
