President of the Christ Apostolic Church, Pastor Samuel Oladele has observed that the government of President Mohammadu Buhari is not doing anything close to enough in addressing the teething challenges in the country.
He made the remark shortly after the inauguration and duty commencement of the new General Superintendent of the Church, Pastor Emmanuel Odejobi on Saturday, April 10.
Oladele who is about three weeks old as the president of the church said in a short interview with journalists at the event held at the CAC secretariat, Ibadan that, “The government is not doing anything near enough. This is not the change they promised us seven years ago.”
He however encouraged Nigerians to keep hope alive saying, “Hope is not lost. Nations have gone through what we are going through and they came out triumphant. Our own will not be different. Nigeria will come out victorious. When govt fails, God can’t fail.”
On the much talked about crisis in the CAC, he said there are strong indications that the crisis will be over soon.
He said the church has been holding meetings for the past three years to resolve some of the disagreement within its fold assuring that another meeting is being scheduled to hold in the next few days to put an end to the discord.
He promised that the church will let the whole world know when the crisis is finally resolved.
He urged the new GS to be alive to his duty, take inspiration from those who have been there, and be up and doing.
Pastor Oladele began duty as the 8th President of CAC Worldwide on March 20, 2021. He succeeded Pastor Abraham Olakunle Akinosun.
He was appointed by the General Executive Council, the Church’s highest ruling body in October 2020. His appointment which took effect on January 1, 2021, was confirmed by the General Council of the Church in December 2020. But he commenced duty officially on March 20.
