These includes her 60th birthday and three decades of global groundbreaking gospel music feats.
Aity Dennis will be remembered for such amazing feats as: leader of the World Guinness book of Records largest Carol Choir, composer of the inauguration theme song for the West African largest Stadium, Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, composer of the theme song for President Goodluck Jonathan’s global biography (Wind of Change) launch, among others.
She will commence the multifaceted celebration with series of concerts and global tours within and outside Nigeria. According to her, the highly anticipated tours will be held in Lagos, Uyo, and Houston, Texas, United States of America.
Dennis, who is the Akwa Ibom State Cultural Ambassador, disclosed that the tour begins on July 13, 2025, at The MEGAlife Cathedral, Sure Word Assembly in Okota, Lagos, before heading to her hometown of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, where she will be hosted by her Pastor, Dr Sylvanus Ukafia, the same Pastor who dedicated and launched her into music ministry 30 years ago.
The Uyo event is on July 20 at Insight Bible Church. The final leg takes place on August 17 at The King’s Palace in Katy, Houston Texas, a reflection of her strong diaspora following and acceptance in the United States.
Celebrated Gospel artistes, such as Ambassador Chinyere Udoma, Praise Machine, Bukola Olubona aka Oyigiyigi, Eno Michael, Yada, Mosaic, Joe Festus, and many others will grace the occasion.
Affectionately also called “Mama Aity,” Dennis, who turns 60 this month, is a household name across Nigeria and among gospel music circles globally. She has released dozens of global hits. She is known widely for her energetic stage presence and dance, indigenous rhythm, and spirit-lifting lyrics.
Aity Dennis has shaped the sonic identity of contemporary and traditional gospel music in Nigeria and beyond since her advent in the 1990s.
Her work blends rich traditional sounds with contemporary gospel, creating a genre uniquely her own. One that has inspired generations and amplified the sounds of Akwa Ibom, Nigeria and Africa on international stages.
Speaking in an interview, Dennis said, “This celebration is not about me alone, it’s about God’s faithfulness over the years, and the beautiful journey of purpose through music.” Dignitaries and fans from across Africa, Europe, and North America are also expected to attend.
