Adeboye plans expansion for RCCG Redemption City…calls for billionaire donors

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of RCCG

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God , Pastor Enoch Adeboye is set for some strategic expansion to accommodate the growing human pressure on the Redemption City of the church.

He made this known in the early hours of Saturday August 6 while ministering during the ongoing 73rd convention of the church.

The General Overseer said the expansion and infrastructure upgrade are necessary to accommodate the growing human pressure on the facilities in the city.

One of the areas of concern is the hostel facilities which he said could no longer accommodate people who come for the yearly convention of the church.

He also noted that the water system and the electricity infrastructure of the city needed to be upgraded as it could no longer serve the thousands of people that throng the place yearly.

The choir section of the new auditorium according to him could no longer take the growing number of choir members which is presently put at over 10000.

Adeboye said there will be need to expand the section of the new auditorium, build more hostels to accommodate people and also expand the altar of the old auditorium.

He noted that the project will cost the church billions of naira and that he would need some of his sons and daughters to rise to the challenge.

While stressing that only people who are willing should contribute to the project, he said he would need 10 people who can give the church N1billion each, 100 people who can give N100million each and 1000 people who can give a million naira each. He also urged members of the church to contribute what they could afford towards the project.

Though he did not call the potential donors out for identification, he urged them to write their cheques in favour of the RCCG Redemption City Project.
