A call for global intercession for Africa

By John Abiola

” In that day shall there be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of# Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the Lord.

20 And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the Lord because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them.

Egypt is a picture of Africa.Reports revealed that Biblical and historical scholars agree that several ancient lands mentioned in the Bible are located within the continent of Africa and that the people from these lands are ancestors to many present-day African nations .

The Bible mentions several specific regions and peoples that correspond to modern African territories:
Egypt (Mizraim).
Cush (Ethiopia). The land of Cush, frequently translated as “Ethiopia”
Put (Libya),
Cyrene (Cyrenaica). Located in modern-day eastern Libya, Cyrene was a significant Greek city with a Jewish community. It is mentioned in the New Testament, notably as the home of Simon of Cyrene, who helped Jesus carry the cross.

These ancient lands and their peoples are generally recognized as foundational to the diverse population of the African continent.

THE BATTLE FOR AFRICA’S THRONE:

Africa is in her darkest period, the deep darkness is more present in West Africa today and the darkness is mostly thick in the nation of Nigeria, the most populous nation in African continent.it is Satan versus God. It is a war of darkness versus light, bad versus good.

You may have asked why there’s much darkness, strife, idolatry and other evil ravaging in Africa. The reason has been because of God’s promises and prophecies from the Bible age and contemporary time over Africa .

Africa is a nation of destiny in God’s agenda for the end- time move that would lead to a great spiritual revival and awakening to purge, cleanse the Church, and sweep sinners into His kingdom, also to turn many nations to God in readiness for the soon coming of Jesus Christ for the rapture of His Bride- Church.

It as always been known that whenever God wants to move or His already moving Satan is always ready to resist it. Any nation of divine destiny, Satan is always at rage to wage war against such nation so as to hinder God’s plan from being fulfilled in that nation.

Satan would always go as far as releasing principalities to work with millions of low ranking demons to build strongholds, cultures, constitutions, evil policies, institutions that would confront the agenda of God in that nation.

He goes very extreme in polluting the land with bloodshed, human sacrifices, animal rituals, wickedness, corruption, injustice, insecurity, deceptions e.t.c. This is targeted to hinder the glory of His presence from descending upon the land.

Hence, it’s our responsibility to take action in the place of prayer so as to give impetus to the fulfilment of God’s plan in Africa. Prayer would serve as our preservatives to sustaining the agenda of God for Africa.

This piece is a call for everyone to rise up and pray for the Africa continent so that God’s plan for Africa would be fulfilled.

A CRY FOR AFRICA*

O, Lord, our merciful, and loving Father, Jesus Christ, our precious Lord, Saviour and Deliverer and the Holy Spirit, our blessed Comforter, pour out Your mercy upon Africa and Africans for the forgiveness of our numerable sins, we ask that you purge, cleanse and deliver us from the consequences by the blood of Jesus Christ.

Hear our cry, O Lord our Saviour and Deliverer!
In the name of Jesus, we humbly come before Your throne of grace and mercy to bring our petition to You:

  • Save our souls.
  • Revive, Heal and restore Your Glory to our churches, families, communities, cities, and nations.
  • Bring Your Peace to every areas of our lives.
  • Awaken our hearts to the love our Lord Jesus Christ offered humanity at the Cross. Establish Your Altar of repentance, salvation, intercessory prayers and spiritual revival, A place of true worship, sacrifice, and encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ.

May Africans cry out to You in genuine repentance and make a decision to turn back to You in Faith in Christ Jesus alone and so as to experience Your promised Salvation, deliverance, restoration and transformation. Father, we also ask that there should be an earth-shaking and sweeping revival in our continent and let it spread out globally.

May the Lord Jesus Christ be revered across Africa and among Africans around the world.

I strongly believe you have heard us in the name of Jesus Christ.

A CRY FOR NIGERIA

Heavenly Father, We specifically bring Nigeria before You, a Nation of beauty, promise, and a very prophetic nation. We lift the nation of Nigeria up, praying for Your intervention in our current challenges.

Lord, Nigeria cries out for peace . We pray for an end to banditry, Fulani Jihardists, kidnappings, and Islamic terrorist attacks. Protect our citizens, churches, preachers especially the vulnerable among us. Empower both the spiritual and political leaders with wisdom and courage to address the root causes in the Land.

Nigeria also faces economic struggles, We pray for job creation, food security, and access to basic necessities. Guide our policymakers in promoting sustainable growth.
Lord, also corruption undermines our progress as a nation.

We ask that you Grant us able leaders to lead your people. We ask for both spiritual and political integrity, transparency, and accountability in the name of Jesus Christ.
Nigeria also battles health challenges. Strengthen our healthcare systems, provide access to quality care, and bless medical workers. Comfort those suffering and bring healing to them.

Above all, we pray for spiritual revival in the Church and the society. Awaken our hearts to Your love, truth, and salvation in Christ Jesus alone. May Nigeria be a beacon of hope, shining Your light to surrounding nations. We trust Your sovereignty, Lord, and ask for mercy, forgiveness and intervention In Jesus’ name, Amen.

GOD’S PROMISE TO ANSWER OUR PRAYERS :

Isaiah 19 verse 20 is prophetic word from God to send a ” Saviour and a Deliverer ” The person of our Lord Jesus Christ for the emancipation of Africa and that’s highly dependent on our prayer to God. Prayer is the major instrument, critical catalyst and crucial weapon that prompts the Lord’s direct action to intervene and send a deliverer, Jesus Christ for the healing, restoration, revival, and reformation of Africa and Africans. And that’s the sole aim of this piece.

In John 14:13,” Jesus promised, “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it”. When we pray things change and God glorify in answer to our prayers .
