As part of activities marking its 16th Founder’Day Annual Lecture, the Bible Society of Nigeria will on February 7 honour a former Minister of Information and National Orientation, Prof. Jerry Gana; Primate of Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba and the President of Christ Apostolic Church Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samuel Oladele;
Others to be honoured include the Chief Executive Officer of Tudel Global Investments Limited, Pastor Dele Adejugbe, and the President and Council Chairman, of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Dr Ike Neliaku. They will be decorated with the Bible Award of Selfless Service to God and Humanity.
The ceremony according to a statement by the Spokesman of the Society, Mr Ben Mordi, will take place at the Adegbite Hall, Shepherd Hill Baptist Church, Obanikoro, Lagos. It will be chaired by the Chairman of NEM Insurance Plc, Mr. Tope Smart.
The founder and Chairman of Proshare, Dr Olufemi Awoyemi Founder is the guest lecturer at the event. He will be addressing the theme, “Diversification and Production: Panacea to Nigeria’s Economic Quagmire”
Also expected at the occasion are The Patron of The Bible Society of Nigeria, Gen. Dr Yakubu Gowon, who will serve as the Father of the Day; former President, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan; the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, as the host governor, and other distinguished personalities.
